Our Story

A Family Business Built on Craftsmanship

Charles Khodeir started CK Joinery well over 20 years ago, with the help of his brother John and sister Jo. What began as a small joinery operation in Western Sydney has grown into one of the city's most trusted residential and commercial joinery businesses — built almost entirely on word-of-mouth referrals from satisfied clients.

Charles and John handle the design and construction side of the business — from taking your initial brief through to the final installation. Jo runs the office, coordinating client communications, managing the finances, and guiding clients through the design process with a calm, detail-oriented approach.

CK Joinery's philosophy has never changed: "Treat every job as if it were our own." That means never cutting corners, never outsourcing manufacturing, and always making sure you see exactly what you're getting before we build a single piece.

Charles founded CK Joinery in 2001 and leads every design consultation. With over two decades of experience, he brings creative solutions to every project — from compact apartments to large commercial fitouts.

John oversees manufacturing and all on-site installation. His attention to detail and hands-on expertise ensures that every piece is built and fitted to the exacting standard the 3D design promised.

Jo is the first voice you hear and the person who keeps every project on time and on budget. She coordinates scheduling, manages client communications, and ensures every client feels informed throughout the process.

When Charles started CK Joinery, one of his first decisions was to establish his own workshop rather than outsourcing manufacturing. That decision defines the business to this day.

Our Galston warehouse uses precision laser-guided cutting machines that eliminate human error from the manufacturing process. Every panel, every door, every drawer front is cut to within a fraction of a millimetre — which is why CK Joinery installations fit perfectly and last for decades.

From Concept to
Completed Installation

Free In-Home Consultation

Charles or John visits your home, measures every dimension, and learns exactly what you need. No cost, no obligation — just a real conversation about what's possible.

3D Design Presentation

We bring a photorealistic 3D render of your finished joinery to a second meeting. You see the exact colours, materials, and layout — before anything is manufactured.

Your Approval First

Not a single board is cut until you are completely satisfied with the design. Changes at this stage cost nothing and take only a few days.

Laser Precision Manufacturing

Your approved design is manufactured at our own Galston warehouse using laser-guided cutting machines. Zero margin for error. Every component cut to exact specification.

Professional Installation

Our own team installs every piece. No subcontractors — the people who designed and built your joinery are the ones who fit it in your home.

Final Inspection & Sign-Off

We walk through the completed job with you. Every door, drawer, and finish is checked before we consider the job done. You sign off before we leave.
